Meow Meow Meme Award

My friend Mario gave me the Meow Meow Meme blog award a few days ago. Can you believe that?! I hadn't even posted in over two weeks because Mom was "too busy." But Mario still liked me and my blog enough to pass the award along. So sweet. Thanks, Mario!

Like some other blog awards, you're supposed to answer some questions. I think this may actually be a kitty award (the first hint was the award title -- Meow Meow Meme), but I'm just gonna answer everything anyway. Here goes...

1. Where do you like to hang out?

That's simple...my princess tent, of course! I like to hide in there and spy on Mom. I can hide and spy at the same time.

My second favorite spot to hang out in is under Mom's bed. I've tunneled through all of the stuff she stores under there. I can do whatever I want under there, 'cause she can't reach me. Pretty cool!

2. Who is your favorite kitty crush?

I love all kitties. Seriously. I just like to sit and stare at kitties. If a kitty comes up to me, I get all bashful and hide behind Mom. ("Bashful" sounds better than admitting I can get scared of a kitty...)

Here are some pictures of me staring at Jingles over at his house. I'm super nice to Jingles and I don't bother him at all. I just like to stare at him! (I do the same thing with Piglet and Mel and Pepper. I think those are all the kitties I know in person...)

3. What is your favorite scent?

This is a tough one to answer. I really like soggy bully sticks. Oh, and squeaky toy stuffing. And there's the all time favorite...pee mail!

Just for fun, here's a close-up of my super sniffer.

4. What's your favorite TV show?

I don't watch TV at all. In fact, the only time TV ever catches my attention is when the Toyota commercial is on that has the squeaky toys in it. Here's a video of Mom playing the commercial on our computer just to show how I react to it...

5. What's your favorite movie?

Well, I don't watch TV, and I don't really watch movies, either. So instead of a regular movie, I'm gonna show you my favorite video of me! I think that works.

This video is special to Mom and me 'cause it's the very first video she took of me. This was the morning after I met my new Mom. She and my foster Mom both thought I'd be frightened from the big move and my new surroundings. But what did I do when I got to my new house? I unpacked my toys and dove into my new sister's toys, too. Less than 12 hours after moving in, I was rolling on toys. Nobody could believe that I adapted so quickly. I think it's just 'cause it was meant to be. Oh, and there were lots of cool toys here, too...

6. What is your best piece of feline wisdom?

Well, I obviously can't write about "feline" wisdom, but I can share some "canine"...

Perfect your stink eye look. It really helps in properly training your Mom. For example, this is my latest stink eye (the latest that was caught on camera, at least). I'm basically telling Mom to put DOWN the stupid camera and take me out to potty.

Those are all of my Meow Meow Meme Award questions. Thanks again, Mario!

My Super Big Prize

A while back I won the grand prize in a contest on the Two Little Cavaliers blog. This was a huge prize, too. I got lots and lots of cool stuff. I'll tell you all about my prizes in another post, though, because today I've got to tell you about just one part of it...

Part of my big grand prize was a special package from Lainey's Pawtique and Bakery. They make lots of yummy cookies and other cool stuff for doggies.

On Monday, a giant box arrived in the mail. Just look at the size of the box! And it had paw prints stamped on the outside, too, so I knew that it was all mine.

In the box was my prize from Lainey's Pawtique! Lainey knows how much of a toy fanatic I am. And I think she also knows that I've had tummy problems lately. So, just take a look at what she sent me...

It's a stuffed doggie that's bigger than me! Yes, I went a little nuts.

Mom didn't get video of me dragging the dog around, but she did get proof of my plucking...

I've had a ton of fun with this guy. I like to pluck his ears and his tail a lot.

Mom and I even played fetch and tug with my new toy. It wasn't very easy for me to fetch, though, so Mom sort of threw it and then we both fetched. Here's me tugging on it.

Lainey also sent me some other goodies in the box. Mom played with those when I was attacking the stuffie. I got some yummy cookies, and valentines, and a smell-good ornament with my name painted on it!

Mom tried to get me to pose with all my prizes, but I was a little disgruntled because I just wanted to play. (And I look even more grouchy 'cause I need a hair cut...)

Here are some of the yummy cookies that I got.

Mom wouldn't let me eat many 'cause of my tummy issues, but she did let me have two cookies. They were so yummy that I followed Mom around until she hid the bag of cookies from me. Anyway, here's me eating a bone-shaped cookie (half is already in my mouth).

You know what Mom did? She actually ate two of MY cookies. Can you believe that?! I thought those were doggie treats for ME but Mom ate some of 'em. The nerve of her. She said they were yummy for her, too, so I'm going to have to watch to be sure she doesn't eat more.

Anyway, I went so crazy playing with that huge dog and then eating the cookies and playing some more, that I had to put myself in time out. I went into my princess tent for a while to chill out. (Mom spied on me through the tunnel, as usual.)

And then I ended up doing this for the rest of the evening:

It really wears you out, you know, playing with a doggie that's larger than you are!

Thanks so much to the Two Little Cavaliers for having the contest and for Lainey's Pawtique and Bakery for this super cool, perfect-for-Buttons prize!

Presents in the Mail!

I got super duper excited when Mom came home today because she brought inside TWO packages that the mailman left outside our door. That's right, TWO presents...and both of 'em were for ME!

I was so excited that I started barking at Mom to open those presents right away.

The first box was from Chewy. He had a contest on his blog and gave prizes to anyone who guessed the origin of his Mom's name. I guessed right...so look at what Chewy sent me!

Two squeaky toys! Jackpot! Chewy picked out a perfect prize for me.

The second box was from Pickles. Pickles had my name in Jazzi's Christmas gift exchange. Look at what Pickles sent me...

MORE toys! And a stocking with my name on it! And cookies! And a Christmas collar thingy!! That's a total jackpot, too! How did Chewy and Pickles both know that I'm a squeaky toy addict?!

Oh, by the way, you might have noticed that my new toys from Chewy are in that picture, too. You see, Mom & I had a disagreement about whether or not she was going to take any of my new toys away from me. I won, of course. She is not allowed to touch my new toys.

And I'm very persistent.

So, with two perfect presents in the mail on the same day, you can probably guess what happened to me. I went a little crazy. I'll admit it. Mom couldn't keep up with me and she ended up taking lots of pictures of me that look like this.

I really love my presents from Chewy and Pickles. So, I've got a special message for them...

(For you humans out there, that's me saying "THANKS for the presents!" to Chewy and Pickles.)

Anipal Photo Hunt #16: My 2nd Job

As pets, we all know that our first job is looking after our humans. And that's BIG job. I mean, I'm constantly having to make Mom laugh about something to cheer her up. Anyway, the theme for this week's Anipal Photo Hunt is "My 2nd Job." So, what's MY 2nd job? I'd say that I'm a pretty good toy tester-outer.

Mom says I've got a destructive streak going with my toys. I didn't use to...um...rip holes in them and pull out the stuffing. But the truth is, I just wasn't "testing" them as accurately before!

For example, this toy did not quite pass my testing...

If you have any toys you'd like me to test out for you, just send 'em to me... He he he.

In the meantime, here are some other animals talking about their second jobs:

Anipal Photo Hunt #14: MOM!

The theme for this week's Anipal Photo Hunt is "MOM!" We're supposed to introduce you to our Moms or Mr. Moms.

Took me a while to find a photo 'cause Mom and I don't have many pictures of us together. Mom says she'd rather just take pictures of me 'cause of my cuteness. He he he.

Anyway, here's my Mom...

And here's a picture of Mom and I and my sis Lexi-Lou when I met Mom and Lexi for the very first time. That's right...it's a pic from my Gotcha Day, almost one whole year ago!

So that's my Mom. Here are some other anipals' Moms...

Anipal Photo Hunt #13: From Where I Stand...

The theme for this week's Anipal Photo Hunt is "From Where I Stand..." It's my point of view on things, literally. So I decided to show you my favorite places in our house -- from where I stand, of course.

The most important place in our house is my princess tent. So here's what I see when I'm sitting inside it.

The door I use sometimes:

Coming into the tent through the tunnel (use it a lot):

My toy box inside the tent (VERY important!):

So that's how my tent looks from my point of view. My other favorite spot in our house is underneath Mom's bed. Here's what that looks like:

Yeah...it's dark in there most of the time...

So that's how things look from where I stand. Here's some other anipals and their vantage points:

Anipal Photo Hunt #12: All Souls' Day

The theme for this week's Anipal Photo Hunt is "All Souls' Day" It's a time to celebrate all of those who have gone before us. I've only been with my forever and ever Mom for 11 months, but we have had two big losses since I was adopted.

Most of you know that my sister Lexi-Lou passed away just a week after I was adopted. It was a huge shock. We'd all planned on Lexi and I having lots of years together. Didn't turn out that way, though. We only had one week.

Here's my sister Lexi.

And here's a picture of Lexi and I on a walk together.

Four months after Lexi-Lou passed away, my new Grandpa got really sick. He ended up passing away, too. We were all super sad. It helps knowing that Lexi-Lou has someone special to help take care of her now, though. I bet she's getting lots of cookies.

Here's a picture of Grandpa watching my cousin Hoss and I as we chew on one of Hossy's bones.

Hossy and I napped with Grandpa later that same day (I'm beside him on the couch).

That's a whole lot of sad in just a few short months. Mom said she was blessed to have me with her then, though, 'cause I make her laugh so much.

Mom put this magnet on our car the other day:

Mom says that magnet says it all.

Here are some other anipals taking part in this week's Anipal Photo Hunt celebration of All Souls' Day:

Anipal Photo Hunt #11: Trick or Treat!

The theme for this week's Anipal Photo Hunt is "Trick or Treat!" Unfortunately, I have plenty of material for this theme. I've got a few costumes. Yes, I said "a few."

Last year at my foster home I was dressed as a piggy for Halloween. It was appropriate since I make piggy noises all the time. And my foster sis Shawnee was dressed as the Big Bad Wolf, too, so that made the costume cooler. Here's a pic of us that I stole from Shawnee's blog:

Shawnee sent my piggy costume to my new home after I got adopted. So I could have been a piggy for Halloween. But Mom decided that maybe I needed something different.

I call this outfit "The Grapes of Wrath."

So I got a grape outfit, too. BUT that's not what I'm wearing for trick or treating tomorrow. See, my buddy Boris sent me a special costume in the mail and Mom decided that it's the winner for this year. So, this year for Halloween...I'm dressing as a princess! This costume is perfect with my princess tent! And it really is adorable, don't you think?

Yes, I rolled in it. Tried to pluck the hat like I pluck my squeaky toys, too. Mom said that wasn't allowed. Hrmph.

Happy Halloween!
