Anipal Photo Hunt: Grazin'

I didn't realize it, but the Anipal Photo Hunt is back! This week's theme is Grazin'. Now, I don't eat grass, so I can't show you pictures of that. I do eat kibble, though. And I looked it up, and "grazing" could mean eating stuff other than grass. So, these pictures should be just fine.

A while back I had some special powder stuff that Mom put on my food to help with my tummy issues. These pics are from me eating my powdered kibble. Mom thought it was hysterical that I ended up with powder all over my mouth...

I wasn't too thrilled about Mom's "photo shoot" while I was trying to eat my supper. Can you tell???

Here are the other Anipal Photo Hunt blogs for this time:

Christmas Decor

My friend Oscar asked me to post some pictures of my holiday decorations as part of his holiday blog hop. Truth is, we don't have many decorations up. Mom did put up a tree for us, though.

Mom's weird. She put one of my squeaky toy squirrels in the tree! She says that she did it 'cause of a scene in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. That's one of her favorite movies. Whatever...just as long as I get that squirrel back soon...

Mom did get me a Christmas basket to put some of my toys in, too. So I suppose that counts as holiday decor.

And finally, here's a picture of me just moments before I tipped the holiday toy box and knocked an ornament off of the tree.

Really, though, what was Mom thinking when she put the toy box there?! Her fault...totally.

Want to join in Oscar's blog hop? Here's the info...

Anipal Photo Hunt #16: My 2nd Job

As pets, we all know that our first job is looking after our humans. And that's BIG job. I mean, I'm constantly having to make Mom laugh about something to cheer her up. Anyway, the theme for this week's Anipal Photo Hunt is "My 2nd Job." So, what's MY 2nd job? I'd say that I'm a pretty good toy tester-outer.

Mom says I've got a destructive streak going with my toys. I didn't use to...um...rip holes in them and pull out the stuffing. But the truth is, I just wasn't "testing" them as accurately before!

For example, this toy did not quite pass my testing...

If you have any toys you'd like me to test out for you, just send 'em to me... He he he.

In the meantime, here are some other animals talking about their second jobs:

Anipal Photo Hunt #15: THE VET

The theme for this week's Anipal Photo Hunt is "THE VET." Sadly, I've had quite a lot of experience with the vet over the last couple of months.

I've had some tummy trouble and some icky poos. So, the vet did lots of tests on me and poked me and prodded me. Then they gave me special prescription kibble to eat. At least it's yummy kibble...but that's the only thing I'm allowed to eat now. Hrmph.

I actually had to go to the vet a week ago, too, 'cause Mom thought I had an ear infection. Yep. She was right. Now we've got special antibiotic ear drops that Mom tortures me with twice a day. She waits until I'm all sleepy and comfy, then BAM! ear drops. Not fun.

Here's an example of the torture. I'm just napping, minding my own business, then Mom swoops in with the medicine...

Yes, I was trying very hard to ignore her. Thought maybe she'd go away if she thought I was really asleep!

I don't have any pictures of me at my new vet. I do have a picture of my insides from my trip to the vet last year, though. This was taken out in New Jersey, before I met my new Mom.

Ta dah!

Pretty cool, huh? OK, so maybe it's a little creepy, too, but it showed the vet that I didn't have any icky bladder stones in my tummy!

Anipal Photo Hunt #14: MOM!

The theme for this week's Anipal Photo Hunt is "MOM!" We're supposed to introduce you to our Moms or Mr. Moms.

Took me a while to find a photo 'cause Mom and I don't have many pictures of us together. Mom says she'd rather just take pictures of me 'cause of my cuteness. He he he.

Anyway, here's my Mom...

And here's a picture of Mom and I and my sis Lexi-Lou when I met Mom and Lexi for the very first time. That's right...it's a pic from my Gotcha Day, almost one whole year ago!

So that's my Mom. Here are some other anipals' Moms...

Anipal Photo Hunt #13: From Where I Stand...

The theme for this week's Anipal Photo Hunt is "From Where I Stand..." It's my point of view on things, literally. So I decided to show you my favorite places in our house -- from where I stand, of course.

The most important place in our house is my princess tent. So here's what I see when I'm sitting inside it.

The door I use sometimes:

Coming into the tent through the tunnel (use it a lot):

My toy box inside the tent (VERY important!):

So that's how my tent looks from my point of view. My other favorite spot in our house is underneath Mom's bed. Here's what that looks like:

Yeah...it's dark in there most of the time...

So that's how things look from where I stand. Here's some other anipals and their vantage points:

Anipal Photo Hunt #12: All Souls' Day

The theme for this week's Anipal Photo Hunt is "All Souls' Day" It's a time to celebrate all of those who have gone before us. I've only been with my forever and ever Mom for 11 months, but we have had two big losses since I was adopted.

Most of you know that my sister Lexi-Lou passed away just a week after I was adopted. It was a huge shock. We'd all planned on Lexi and I having lots of years together. Didn't turn out that way, though. We only had one week.

Here's my sister Lexi.

And here's a picture of Lexi and I on a walk together.

Four months after Lexi-Lou passed away, my new Grandpa got really sick. He ended up passing away, too. We were all super sad. It helps knowing that Lexi-Lou has someone special to help take care of her now, though. I bet she's getting lots of cookies.

Here's a picture of Grandpa watching my cousin Hoss and I as we chew on one of Hossy's bones.

Hossy and I napped with Grandpa later that same day (I'm beside him on the couch).

That's a whole lot of sad in just a few short months. Mom said she was blessed to have me with her then, though, 'cause I make her laugh so much.

Mom put this magnet on our car the other day:

Mom says that magnet says it all.

Anipal Photo Hunt #11: Trick or Treat!

The theme for this week's Anipal Photo Hunt is "Trick or Treat!" Unfortunately, I have plenty of material for this theme. I've got a few costumes. Yes, I said "a few."

Last year at my foster home I was dressed as a piggy for Halloween. It was appropriate since I make piggy noises all the time. And my foster sis Shawnee was dressed as the Big Bad Wolf, too, so that made the costume cooler. Here's a pic of us that I stole from Shawnee's blog:

Shawnee sent my piggy costume to my new home after I got adopted. So I could have been a piggy for Halloween. But Mom decided that maybe I needed something different.

I call this outfit "The Grapes of Wrath."

So I got a grape outfit, too. BUT that's not what I'm wearing for trick or treating tomorrow. See, my buddy Boris sent me a special costume in the mail and Mom decided that it's the winner for this year. So, this year for Halloween...I'm dressing as a princess! This costume is perfect with my princess tent! And it really is adorable, don't you think?

Yes, I rolled in it. Tried to pluck the hat like I pluck my squeaky toys, too. Mom said that wasn't allowed. Hrmph.

Happy Halloween!

Anipal Photo Hunt #10: How Annoying!

The theme for this week's Anipal Photo Hunt is "How Annoying!"

This was another easy one for me. I get annoyed by my Mom pretty easily, and I sure let her know about it, too! For example, I get annoyed when Mom...

1. Doesn't refill the popcorn bowl:

2. Bothers me when I'm picking out a toy to play with:

3. And invades the privacy of my hidey spot with her stupid camera:

Isn't that stuff terrible?! Mom can be so rude! Anyway, here are some other annoyed bloggers...

Anipal Photo Hunt #9: Compromising Positions

The theme for this week's Anipal Photo Hunt is "Compromising Positions."

Now, keep in mind that I'm posting these pictures only for the sake of the Photo Hunt. And also remember that I'm entirely innocent of anything and everything.

Yep. I'm entirely innocent...

Anyway, here are some other anipals in their own compromising positions:

Anipal Photo Hunt # 7: I'm with the Band

"I'm with the band" is the theme for this week's Anipal Photo Hunt. Yeah...I'm a little late posting this week. I've had some tummy problems, and Mom and I have both been sorta busy dealing with me being sick.

I've got a violin toy and we hunted for a picture of it, but couldn't find one. And then Mom tried to find the toy itself, but no luck there, either. So, since squeaky toys are "music to my ears," we figured that any toy picture might work.

Here's a picture of me with a new elephant toy that Mom gave me. I'm hiding between the fireplace, the M&M man, my princess tent, and Mom's exercise bike. Still not feeling well. I'm not even playing with the toy...just sleeping with it in my mouth...

Here are some others in this week's photo hunt...

Anipal Photo Hunt # 7: Hey! That's Not Me!

The theme for this week's Anipal Photo Hunt is "Hey! That's Not Me!" This was an easy one for me. See, there's this photo that keeps circulating by email and on Twitter and people keep asking Mom and I over and over again if it's me. I've even put it on my blog before to try to clarify...but people still keep asking.

Now, I don't know WHY people would wonder if it's me...

OK, so maybe that's a picture of a mischievous pup, and that's probably why we keep getting questions about it. Everyone knows I'm a little ornery. But in all honesty, it's NOT ME! Want to know how to tell for sure? My nose is brown, not black!

Here are some other "That's Not Me!" posts...

Anipal Photo Hunt # 6: Adopt a Less Adoptable Pet Week Challenge

For the week's Anipal Photo Hunt we're supposed to post adoption info for a "less adoptable" pet to maybe help the animal find its forever home. These pets are doggies and kitties that are maybe a little older or have special needs or things like that.

You know...I think I might have actually been considered a "less adoptable" pet myself. I was 9 years old when Mom adopted me last November, and I have bad allergies so I need lots of medicine. That sure didn't matter to Mom, though, and now I'm being spoiled rotten. And that's how it should be!

For my "less adoptable" pet, I looked at the doggies at my local humane society. I picked Olly:

Olly is less than 2 years old, and I don't know if he has special needs. But, he's been at the shelter since May 1...longer than any other doggy there. Poor Olly! Click here for more information on Olly. Let's help him get a forever home!

My Prize from the Anipal Photo Hunt

If you've read my bloggie for very long, then you've seen my posts about the Anipal Photo Hunt. But did you know that you can win prizes for participating in the Photo Hunt? That's right! Cokie is giving out special prizes for a while to the first blogger who posts about each week's theme and does a little extra credit, too. And I WON one week!

On Saturday Mom and I headed to Grandma's house, but we made a little stop at the post office first to pick up my prize. You can tell just how excited I am if you look at my blurry tail!

Yep. It's my prize, so I sure think it's fragile!

Check out what Cokie sent me. There's a toy and a babble ball and a little something for Mom, too! You can't really see the toy shoe in this picture. I was already plucking it...

I played with the new shoe for a while, but eventually I fell asleep with it on the trip to Grandma's house.

Thanks for the toys, Cokie! Mom left the babble ball in the trunk of our car. She put it there because she couldn't get it to stop babbling, and she said it was driving her nuts. He he he...
