Isn't It Ironic?

Mom's been talking to my former foster Mom lots lately because of all of my vet appointments.  My former foster Mom pointed out something to my forever Mom, though, and she had a pretty good point.

It's pretty ironic that I've got a nekkid hiney right now.

WHY is it ironic that I've got a nekkid hiney?  Because I did THIS to toys at my foster home!

That's right.  I plucked the toy furs and gave the toys nekkid spots on their hineys!  And now, ironically, I'M the one with the nekkid hiney!

He he he...

Review: Skinneeez Tons O Squeakers Bear

I'm on Baby Patches' Testing Team. Baby Patches runs things over at Nip and Bones. When you're a member of her tester team, she sends you stuff to review for her. Testers don't get paid to write stuff, so our reviews are totally honest. And we also get to keep the stuff we review, which is totally cool!

So the other day I got a new TOY to test out for Baby Patches. (You know how I love my squeakies!) Mom was busy messing with the toy, trying to take the tags off it, but she was basically tormenting me by not letting me HAVE THAT TOY.

I took matters into my own hands and just jumped up and grabbed it from her!

Baby Patches sent me the Skinneeez Tons O Squeakers Bear! Here's what it looks like when I'm not slobbering on it and plucking it:

After I got the bear away from Mom, I gave him a good inspection.

OH MY GOODNESS. This bear is Toy Heaven for me. When they say "tons o squeakers" they MEAN IT. He's got 19 squeakers! Seriously...19 squeakers!!! I ain't joking. There are squeakers in his legs, feet, arms, hands, head, and body. Just about every part of him SQUEAKS.

And because Mr. Bear (any toy with that many squeakers deserves a little respect) is stuffing free, he's super duper easy for me to get my little teeth on those squeakers. In my opinion, the easier to squeak, the better!

Mr. Bear also rates high for pluckability. I love to pluck the fur off my toys. Mr. Bear has just enough fur to pluck, but it's also short enough that Mom's not constantly pulling big pieces of fur out of my mouth!

And let's face it, with 19 squeakers, Mr. Bear is totally fun to roll on. And roll I did...

And I rolled some more...

And I even "crazy dog" rolled because I was having so much fun!

After all of my jumping, investigating, plucking, and rolling, I had to take a nap. Even though he's stuffing free, Mr. Bear made a pretty nice pillow.

The only downside to Mr. Bear is that Mom won't play tug with him anymore. We played a little bit (while we were playing fetch with him), but we heard a ripping sound when Mom tugged.

Mom thinks that one of the inside seams holding the squeakies in place must have torn open. We couldn't find any ouchies on Mr. Bear's outside, but he ended up with 2 squeakies in his foot, and one is missing from his leg. So, Mom won't let me play tug with him anymore 'cause she's scared we'll tear open something else.

Overall, though, I think Mr. Bear is an excellent toy. You just can't beat a toy with 19 squeakers that are EASY to squeak! I've been carrying him around with me for a while now.

So if you like a lot of squeakers and easy pluckability, go get yourself a Skinneeez Tons O Squeakers Bear!

My Mr. Bear is actually guarding things under our bed right now. I took him under there to watch out for monsters that could be hiding down there. And also, of course, to enjoy some middle-of-the-night squeaking. (Mom hates when I do that! Mwwaaahahaha!)

My Super Big Prize

A while back I won the grand prize in a contest on the Two Little Cavaliers blog. This was a huge prize, too. I got lots and lots of cool stuff. I'll tell you all about my prizes in another post, though, because today I've got to tell you about just one part of it...

Part of my big grand prize was a special package from Lainey's Pawtique and Bakery. They make lots of yummy cookies and other cool stuff for doggies.

On Monday, a giant box arrived in the mail. Just look at the size of the box! And it had paw prints stamped on the outside, too, so I knew that it was all mine.

In the box was my prize from Lainey's Pawtique! Lainey knows how much of a toy fanatic I am. And I think she also knows that I've had tummy problems lately. So, just take a look at what she sent me...

It's a stuffed doggie that's bigger than me! Yes, I went a little nuts.

Mom didn't get video of me dragging the dog around, but she did get proof of my plucking...

I've had a ton of fun with this guy. I like to pluck his ears and his tail a lot.

Mom and I even played fetch and tug with my new toy. It wasn't very easy for me to fetch, though, so Mom sort of threw it and then we both fetched. Here's me tugging on it.

Lainey also sent me some other goodies in the box. Mom played with those when I was attacking the stuffie. I got some yummy cookies, and valentines, and a smell-good ornament with my name painted on it!

Mom tried to get me to pose with all my prizes, but I was a little disgruntled because I just wanted to play. (And I look even more grouchy 'cause I need a hair cut...)

Here are some of the yummy cookies that I got.

Mom wouldn't let me eat many 'cause of my tummy issues, but she did let me have two cookies. They were so yummy that I followed Mom around until she hid the bag of cookies from me. Anyway, here's me eating a bone-shaped cookie (half is already in my mouth).

You know what Mom did? She actually ate two of MY cookies. Can you believe that?! I thought those were doggie treats for ME but Mom ate some of 'em. The nerve of her. She said they were yummy for her, too, so I'm going to have to watch to be sure she doesn't eat more.

Anyway, I went so crazy playing with that huge dog and then eating the cookies and playing some more, that I had to put myself in time out. I went into my princess tent for a while to chill out. (Mom spied on me through the tunnel, as usual.)

And then I ended up doing this for the rest of the evening:

It really wears you out, you know, playing with a doggie that's larger than you are!

Thanks so much to the Two Little Cavaliers for having the contest and for Lainey's Pawtique and Bakery for this super cool, perfect-for-Buttons prize!

Who Unstuffed My Stuffie?!

When Mom and I woke up the other morning, we discovered a mystery. Someone had plucked a hole in my squeaky toy and pulled the stuffing and squeaker out! The stuffie's remains were right there on the foot of the bed, on the blanket that I sleep on. How rude!

I figured that it HAD to have been Mom because it's just the two of us here. Right? So I gave her a look and said, "Was that YOU, Mom?"

She denied it, of course, and then pointed out the fact that she doesn't play with my toys.

And then, well, she got a photo of this...

She caught me red-handed. I couldn't resist the toy, and I totally blew my cover. Oops.

Poor Carrot...The Finale

Poor, poor carrot. I have no idea how THIS happened...

OK. So maybe I do, technically, know how that happened. I still plan on acting completely innocent, of course.

I think it's working.

Poor Carrot...The Sequel

Here's what my poor carrot looks like these days...

Yes, I got new toys...but I've totally kept plucking the carrot, too. You can probably tell that it's a lot more naked than it was before. There's even stuffing poking out the front now!

Poor carrot. It must be hard to be a fun doggie toy...

Poor Carrot...

I inspected my carrot toy tonight. (It's my newest toy, so I've been playing with it lots lately.)

Those spots where the orange fur is missing? Yeah, I did that. I plucked the fur off. There's "shredded carrot" all over our house. I really like to pluck my toys.

Mom better give me another new toy soon, though, or this poor carrot's gonna be completely naked...

Toy Piggy and Piggy Toy!

My friend Boris calls me the Toy Piggy sometimes 'cause I love my squeakies so much. Well, tonight Mom gave me a squeaky pig. So that means that the Toy Piggy was playing with a piggy toy! Say that five times real fast... He he he.

The two piggies, posing together:

I starting to roll on the piggy.

More rolling (there was lots of rolling)...

And of course I plucked the pig, too.

Finally, the two piggies were worn out and had to take a nap.

This Toy Piggy loves her piggy toy!

Playing with My Fox Like a Froggie

Took a new approach tonight when I played with my toys. I stuck my head up against the chair and put my back legs out like a froggie. And then I plucked my fox for a while.

I was having fun, of course, until the sound of laughter rudely interrupted me. Yep...it was Mom. She was sitting across the room, laughing at me. Can you believe that?! I mean, what is so funny about me laying on the floor like a froggie and almost hitting my head on the chair while plucking a fox?!

My Mom wears me out...

Foxy Lady

Got a new toy tonight. It's a fox! It's one of those stuffing-free toys, so it's super-easy to find the squeakers. The best thing about this one, though, is that the fur is super duper pluckable. Wanna see me pluck my fox? If you listen closely, you can hear the piggy sounds that I make. He he he.

Mom wasn't feeling well today, so she went into her super-secret stash of toys and pulled this one out. She thought that it would keep me busy so she could rest. What she didn't expect, though, was to have to keep catching me and pulling the fox fur out of my mouth so I wouldn't swallow it!

She'll never learn...

Free Toy for Me

We got a box in the mail today! It was addressed to Mom, but I claim full ownership of all boxes that come in the mail.

And you want to know the best part about this box? Just look at the sticker!!!

That's right...it was from DogToys.com! That usually means that there just HAS to be something good in there. And they sure didn't disappoint this time, either. They mailed us a Mini Me!

It's a white and tan, very furry, squeaky doggie! Look closely...can you tell which is the real Buttons and which is the toy Buttons?

How about now?

The new toy looks SO much like me! Mom and I just couldn't believe it. And of course because it's so furry, I decided to pluck away.

The only problem with plucking a very furry, long-haired toy like this is that there's a whole lot of fur to deal with. All night long, Mom kept grabbing my head, prying my mouth open, and pulling fur out of it. How rude. She said she didn't want me to swallow the fur I plucked off of the toy. Whatever.

So here's the coolest part about my new toy...it was free! That's right, it was a free doggie toy. I got some free cookies, too! Here's me posing with my loot.

Why did I get a free toy and cookies in the mail? No, it's not a prize that I won. You see, Mom went to DogToys.com last week and decided to make a donation to a doggie charity that they're helping to support. Because Mom made a donation, they sent ME cool stuff. DogToys.com rocks!

If you wanna get a free toy and cookies, too, just go to their website and make a donation!

And now it's time to nap with my new Mini Buttons pillow...
