I told Mom that she can just take the couch tonight. This bed is mine. I'm sleeping right in the middle!
She can't resist the belly.

Snowy Day
We got a lot of snow today. And it's still coming down. This is a problem for me because I have short little legs.
Mom made me a little potty patch, but it's not very big. It ain't cool when you don't have enough room to do your business.
So I was a little disgruntled after I came in from my last trip outside. Decided to burrow and make myself my own indoor dog bed igloo.
Ignore that toy ball that I smooshed.
Ignore the laser eyes, too.
I napped away my grumpiness.
Mom went into the kitchen to do the dishes and when she came back out, she saw this.
I'd moved to higher ground on the couch. And still did my best to look pathetic. Just isn't a good day when I can't go for a walk!
Stupid snow.

Bed Hog Dog
Mom calls me her "Bed Hog Dog" these days. I suppose it's for obvious reasons.
She says she doesn't understand how someone so little can take up over half of the bed. It's easy to figure out, though. I simply sleep where I want to sleep.
That fluffy white blanket with the bully stick on it is where I'm "supposed" to sleep so that I give Mom more room. Yeah...whatever.
She should be happy I don't make her sleep on the couch.
Yet...

Playing Like Crazy
I realized the other day that it's been a while since I've posted some videos. Well, I got a new squeaky ball this weekend, and Mom thought it was the perfect opportunity for some more movies of me playing like a crazy pup. And believe me, I played like crazy!
And since I shoved my squeaky down into my doggie couch, I had to attack the couch to play with the toy. Double the fun!
And then I just kept going crazy with the squeaky.
Eventually, I started to get tired. A lot of constant playing will do that to you, you know...
Don't tell Mom, but I'm planning to sneak that squeaky ball into bed tonight. Mom says squeaky balls "aren't allowed" in there. But she doesn't know that I already stashed it under the covers when she wasn't looking. This is gonna be FUN...

Anipal Photo Hunt: Catching Up!
I discovered that
I missed TWO of the Anipal Photo Hunt challenges. I didn't miss any of 'em before the Photo Hunt went on a break, and I sure can't end up behind now! So, I decided to catch up.
The first post I missed was with the theme "Mardi Gras." I don't have anything specifically "Mardi Gras," but I DO have a picture of me wearing some beads! They're Shibbering Cheetos Love Beads. I was rolling on some toys, too, so I was having fun. That counts as Mardi Gras, don't you think?!

First, we got a box in the mail one day. You know what boxes have in them, right? TOYS! Not this one, though. It had something Mom called a "cake pan" in it. What the heck?!

The second Anipal Photo Hunt that I missed was "What the Heck Is That Thing?!" I went to my archives for this one, and I found TWO different things to use...
My second "What the Heck Is That Thing?!" was when Mom's friend came to visit last year. This pile of blankets on our couch kept making noises and moving. I kept a close eye on it.
I had to figure out what was going on in those blankets!
Turns out it was Dallas, Mom's friend's doggy!
And NOW I'm all caught back up with the Anipal Photo Hunt!

My New Sofa
At one of the Twitter parties, I won a gift certificate to Nip and Bones from MizzBassie. Cool, huh? So, Mom and I decided that I could use some furnishings for my princess tent. We ordered a doggie bed that looks just like a little sofa.

And it was a BIG box, too. I went a little crazy.

OK, so maybe I wasn't checking for change. What I was actually doing was pulling the cushion out of the couch because I thought for sure that it was a toy. It looked like some of my toys...and toys come in boxes...so it HAD to be a toy!
Yes, I attacked the new sofa.
I even rolled on the sofa and cushion just like I roll on my toys.
Eventually, I went and got another squeaky and played with it inside my new sofa. (Just like I play with toys in my round bed!) The sofa makes a nice echo chamber for squeakies. I had fun doing that until Mom realized that I was plucking the sofa instead of the toy. Oops.

It's a comfy couch!
I must admit, though, that I got a little confused when it arrived. You see, I'm used to always getting TOYS in the boxes that come to our house. Not doggie beds. So, naturally, when the huge box arrived, I assumed it was filled with toys.

And it was a BIG box, too. I went a little crazy.
As soon as Mom got the sofa out of the box, I immediately "checked in the edges for change someone might have dropped." (He he he.)

Yes, I attacked the new sofa.
I refused to leave the cushion in the sofa, too. I kept pulling it out and trying to squeaky it. Mom even caught me on video trying to squeaky and pluck the sofa cushion. (There was actually a squeaky UNDER the cushion that kept squeaking, too, so that just egged me on!)
I even rolled on the sofa and cushion just like I roll on my toys.

I refused to leave the cushion in the sofa for most of that first day we had it. When it was on top of the sofa, I buried toys under the cushion, too. And then I even buried myself!
Since then, Mom has managed to convince me that the sofa cushion is actually a cushion and not a squeaky toy. So, I leave it in the sofa most of the time. But I still like to stick toys under it sometimes.
And I love to play in it, too, of course.
But most of the time now, my new sofa is used for napping.
It's a comfy couch!

Busy, Busy Days!
Mom and I went to Grandma's house for Christmas, and we were there for several days. We got back home yesterday. We had SUCH a busy time at Grandma's, and after we got home, well...it was no different. Here are a few pictures from my busy day yesterday...
Of course I did take some time out of my busy napping schedule to play with a toy. (And check out how cool my tail looks here -- Mom caught it mid-wag!)
I soon wore myself out, though, and had to nap with my toy.
You know what I did today? More of the same, of course!
Then, just to shake things up a bit, I switched to my round bed for snoozing.
Mom says we're gonna be pretty busy for the rest of the week...

Rainy Night Argument
It was a rainy, rainy night tonight. All evening...rain, rain, rain.
When you gotta go outside to potty, the rain poses a bit of a problem. And when you don't like to get wet, then it's an even larger issue. And when you need to spend some time to, well, take care of your business outside, then the stupid rain is a huge, horrendous catastrophe.
That's the basis of the argument that Mom and I got into tonight. She said that I was too antsy because I had to poo and refused to do it. I said that there was no way I was going to do that when it was pouring down rain outside. I do not like to get wet.
After several rounds of bickering this evening, Mom did the unthinkable. She had the nerve to take me out on my leash and MAKE ME STAY OUTSIDE -- in the rain -- until I went poo! She kept yelling at me "GO POOP! GO POOP!" in the pouring rain. I got soaked. Mom got soaked. Eventually, though, I just broke down and did my thing so that we could go inside and she'd stop yelling "GO POOP!" like a crazy woman.
But when we got inside, I sure gave her the stink eye.

And then I went and hid under the blankie on the couch.
I really think this qualifies as doggie abuse. I'm sure of it. My only consolation is the fact that Mom got soaking wet right along with me. And, of course, all of our neighbors now think she's absolutely nuts...

Mischief Maker
I've been known to be a little ornery. Today I proved that once again.
While Mom was at work, I got a little sick to my stomach. Did I pick a nice, out-of-the-way place to pukey? Nope. I decided to get sick right on the couch...and I even chose the exact spot on the couch that Mom usually sits in.

Mom wasn't amused. But, she knew she couldn't say anything 'cause I was sick. (It's a valid excuse!)
Then, while Mom was cleaning up the mess on the couch, I went into the bathroom and I knocked over the garbage can again. Unfortunately, though, Mom emptied it out after I did that the last time, so I couldn't make too much of a mess. Darn it!
So after Mom picked up that mess, she came back out into the living room and I gave her one of my great, "Who, me?" looks.
She didn't buy it, though, so I knew I had to turn on the cuteness. I snuggled up with my sheep toy in my round bed.
That melts Mom every time. Puke? Garbage can? Cute puppy pose, and all is forgotten!

Hide 'n Seek
I decided to hide from Mom while I napped the other night. I don't know how she found me. Can you see me hiding?
Maybe this will help. That arrow's pointing to the very, very, very tip of my tail!
Mom rudely uncovered my head so she could take a picture. She claims she wanted to be sure I was breathing under all those pillows and blankies.
It was a good hiding spot in my opinion! Mom says I'm lucky she didn't accidentally sit on me and smoosh me.

New Doggie Bed
I decided to make myself a new doggie bed tonight. Sure, my brown bed is still cool, but I needed to change some things up. So, I jumped up into the chair and pushed the chair cushion off onto the floor.
Ta dah! Perfect new doggie bed for me!
