Little Mischief Maker

This morning I acted all innocent, even with my crazy eyes and crazy hair.

But in reality, THIS happened last night.

Of course it's not unusual for me to dump over the trash.  Mom makes sure nothing dangerous is in there, just in case she forgets to put the garbage on the counter. And all I typically do is scatter the dirty tissues around.

When she cleaned up my mischief from last night, however, Mom discovered three little pieces of an old make-up sponge.

Yep.  Only three little pieces remained.  The rest was nowhere to be found.  You know why?  'Cause it was IN MY BELLY!

That's right.  I ate it.

"There's nothing to see here."

So Mom freaked out.  She called the vet and tattled.  The vet said I'd be o.k. but to watch for the sponge to "reappear" from either end.  Fun, huh?

While Mom was at work today, I...um...found the sponge again. It came out the top. (I'm just sniffing it here.)

Mom censored the gross part, but you can still see some of that sponge in this picture.

I refused to be photographed with the evidence.

Just to add to the fun, I also left Mom a present in the other room.

Mom was thankful that we "found" the sponge so quickly, so she couldn't get too upset with me.

Being full of mischief gets exhausting.

Mischief Maker

I've been known to be a little ornery. Today I proved that once again.

While Mom was at work, I got a little sick to my stomach. Did I pick a nice, out-of-the-way place to pukey? Nope. I decided to get sick right on the couch...and I even chose the exact spot on the couch that Mom usually sits in.

Mom wasn't amused. But, she knew she couldn't say anything 'cause I was sick. (It's a valid excuse!)

Then, while Mom was cleaning up the mess on the couch, I went into the bathroom and I knocked over the garbage can again. Unfortunately, though, Mom emptied it out after I did that the last time, so I couldn't make too much of a mess. Darn it!

So after Mom picked up that mess, she came back out into the living room and I gave her one of my great, "Who, me?" looks.

She didn't buy it, though, so I knew I had to turn on the cuteness. I snuggled up with my sheep toy in my round bed.

That melts Mom every time. Puke? Garbage can? Cute puppy pose, and all is forgotten!

Oops, I Did It Again...

Mom thought my "garbage tipping" was a phase. She also thought I was over that phase since I hadn't dumped the trash in a few months.

Mom was wrong.

My Mission: Get That Stuff

I'm a very determined doggie. Mom says I'm stubborn. I say I just know what I want and when I want it!

A month or so ago Mom had these plastic sacks of stuff and she wouldn't let me see what was in them. I need to thoroughly investigate all bags because you never know when there might be a squeaky toy in there! Mom rudely told me to stay out of these sacks, though.

She put the sacks by her bed and then she put some stuff in front of them. I, of course, climbed the stuff to try to get to the sacks. Mom built a larger blockade in front of the sacks. I couldn't climb the larger blockade, and Mom thought she won...

Until this weekend. That's when Mom saw this on our bedroom floor:

Sorry...I sorta blocked that shot. This one is better:

That piece of paper is a receipt that Mom remembered she had in those sacks. I was busted.

It was a wonderful plan, and it totally worked until I messed up and accidentally dragged that receipt out. Darn it!

You see, I couldn't get to the sacks that Mom put by the bed because of the stuff that Mom put in FRONT of them. What Mom didn't plan on me doing, though, was going UNDER the bed to get around her blockade!

That's right. Without her knowing it, I actually pulled some of her sacks under the bed and then emptied them and spread the stuff out. I even moved around the boxes Mom had under the bed so that I had more room to get to the sacks of stuff.

I made quite a nice mess, didn't I? I was proud. Mom was not so proud.

While Mom was taking pictures of the mess I made under the bed, I decided to knock over the trash can.

And then I just gave her my most innocent look.

"Who, me?"

The Bathroom Garbage Can

Somebody knocked over the garbage in the bathroom and drug stuff out of the can. I have no idea who could have done this.

Hmmm...who on earth could the culprit be? I surveyed the scene of the crime myself. I've decided that since only Mom and I live here, it must have been Mom who dumped the garbage.

And since there was such a fun pile of garbage on the floor (again, Mom must have done that), I decided to take advantage of it. I brought a toy over to play with in the garbage. That's so much fun!

I sure hope Mom dumps over that trash can again tomorrow!
