I've Been Groomed

You saw my hairy pic from the other day...

Unfortunately, Mom decided I needed to see out, so she took me to the groomer.  I really don't like the groomer because she always gives me a BATH.  I hate baths!!!

I gave the groomer some dirty looks while she was working on my furs.  And you know what she did?!  The groomer TATTLED on me!!!  She sent Mom a picture of me mid-groom and told Mom I was giving her "I hate you" looks!  The nerve...

She finally finished my hair cut and then Mom came to pick me up. I got a "talking to" because of the dirty looks.

Then we headed to our house.  Ta Dah!  Here's me with my new 'do in the car, begging Mom to open the door so we can go inside our house.

I still can't believe the groomer tattled on me like that...

Hairy Situation

Mom says it's a good thing I'm going to the groomer this morning. I have to disagree. That's NEVER a good thing!

Besides, I don't really need to see...

New Haircut from Mom

Mom had that crazy look in her eye last night, and I saw her walking around with scissors.  That's definitely not a good sign.  Mom is NOT a licensed doggie beautician.

I tried to hide (of course), but she caught me and put me into the sink of torture...

I tried to plot my escape, with no luck.

Mom was too quick for me.  She held my chin with one hand and went to town with the scissors in the other hand.  I did my best to look super duper pathetic.

Behold, some of the carnage from my forehead, nose, and chin furs, displayed next to Mom's scissors of torture:

Mom's finished product:

Although I hated having my furs trimmed, I do have to give Mom some credit for at least doing a half-way presentable job this time.  It was HORRIBLE the last time she took it upon herself to trim me. That was so embarrassing.

And at least I can finally see again...and I didn't have to go to the groomer's for an entire afternoon...

Ack! Groomer!

I thought I was safe. I thought I had won the War of the Groomer. I was super-duper shaggy and Mom hadn't made me go to the groomer in a long, long time. Imagine my horror, then, when she took me there this week. ACK!

I went from LOTS of shaggy fur to almost no fur. I feel practically naked now!

WHY did they cut off all of my shaggy furs?! Sure, I'm super cute now, but is that really necessary?

Even my belly is naked!

The worst part of the groomer trip, however, was what the silly groomer did to my poor, poor tail. My tail was really fluffy. I AM a Shih Tzu, you know. We have fluffy tails! And Mom and I loved my shaggy tail! But look at what it looks like now...

Yep...the groomer SHAVED part of my tail!!! She told Mom that I had some mats in it. I think she just got confused and thought I was a poodle or a lion. After all, that's the tail that I have now...a lion's tail or a poodle's tail.

Need proof? Just look at this comparison...

See? My tail isn't a Shih Tzu tail anymore! I'm a lion now! Or a poodle. (Lions are more ferocious, though, so I'm sure my squeakies think I'm a lion...)

I hope my tail grows back fast. Stupid groomer.

I Was Weed-Whackered!

Last night I was ambushed with a bath. Tonight Mom decided that my bangs were too long. WHEN will this torture end?!

She put me in the bathroom sink because that's where she thinks she can "contain" me.

But I kept planning my escape the whole time, so I think she finally learned that the sink ain't the spot she thinks it is.

OK. So maybe my bangs were a little long. It was getting a bit hard to see.

But between Mom's lack of experience and me fidgeting up a storm, the results were NOT good. My bangs look like they've been attacked by a weed whacker!

Just as soon as I got out of that sink, THIS is all Mom saw of me...

Here's a close-up of the damages. Some pieces are still too long, and there's a super short spot right in the middle.

It isn't pretty. But I guess at least I can sort of see now. Mom says it's a good thing that I don't have a mirror in my princess tent, 'cause maybe I'll just forget that my bangs were whacked.

Forget this experience? Never. Instead, I'm adding another layer of fun to my plans for revenge. I'm thinking of super loud squeakies now -- AND my animal sounds Babble Ball -- at 3:30 a.m. under Mom's bed...

That'll teach her.

New Hairdo

Mom came home at lunch time today and surprised me by saying that we were going for a ride. I thought that was pretty cool.

But then I realized what she was really up to... She took me to the GROOMER. AUGH! I put on my doggie brakes the moment I realized where we were. Mom rudely pulled me in the door, though, and then just left me there for days. (O.K., so maybe she only left me for a couple of hours, but it sure felt like I was there forever!)

When she picked me back up and took me home, do you think she'd play with me? Nooo. She was more interested in taking pictures of my new haircut. Geez, Mom...give me a break! I was away from my beloved toys all afternoon. I needed to PLAY!

Anyway, here's the back view of the new 'do. As you can see, I'm waiting for Mom to throw the toy we were playing fetch with. I'm poised and ready to pounce.

And this is the front view of the new 'do. As you can tell, I'm STILL waiting on Mom to stop taking pictures and throw my toy.

This is the belly view of my hair cut. He he he.

And this is just a picture that Mom thought it was super cute.

It's really hard to be this adorable...but I do my best.
