Mom says I'm a mischief maker today. Geez. I get into one little thing and I get labeled...
So I spent all morning at the groomer. Mom brought me home at lunch time and then she went to work.
She foolishly, however, left a box on the couch. I inspect all boxes -- that's my job. And this box just happened to have a couple of bully rings in it. They look like this:
I couldn't pass up the opportunity to chew on a fresh, new bully ring! So when Mom got home from work, she found a ring that looked like this:
Yeah...I chewed it right through the plastic. Ate a little of the plastic, too. Oops.
Mom tried to take a picture of me with the evidence, but it didn't turn out the best. He he he.
I've spent the rest of the evening looking all innocent.
"Who, me??? I wouldn't eat the bully through the plastic..."
Of course Mom caved in to my cuteness and unwrapped the bully the rest of the way for me.
YUMMY!

Thankful Thursday: Advances in Training
I'm very thankful today because we seem to be advancing well in Mom's training. She's finally starting to come around, I think.
As proof, I give you the following photo.
Do you see what I've done here? It's really amazing.
Mom and our neighbor and me all like to sit outside near the playground and swimming pool. If we sit there for a while, I might get thirsty. So, they brought a bowl of water for me. And I might get bored, so they brought me a toy. And just in case I wanna chew on something, I've got a bully stick. And if I get hungry, my neighbor also has a stash of mini Milkbones in her pocket!
The best part, however, is that very fluffy rug I'm sitting on. Oh, yes. No hard, crunchy ground for my little spoiled tushy!
We've had a bad drought here this summer, and the area in front of that bench is really just a pile of dirt. My furs turned gray the last time we sat there because of the dirt and dust. So, Mom and our neighbor brought a super comfy rug for me to sit on so I won't get so dirty again.
I'm really doing well in training Mom. And our awesome neighbor, too...

Friday: Give Me a Beer
Since it's Friday and nearly the weekend, I thought I'd share a little fun from LAST weekend. (You'll note that this was before Mom whacked my furs with the scissors.)
You know my cool neighbor I talk about sometimes? Well on Sunday, she gave me a beer!
Looks just like a Corona, doesn't it? It's a "Cataroma," though. Or that's what the label says at least. With a picture of a kitty. And you know what my beer bottle really, truly is??? A SQUEAKY TOY!!!!
I carried it around for a bit and squeaked and squeaked.
Then Mom and my neighbor and I went to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather we had. We took my beer and a bully stick, too. That's very important.
I didn't play or chew very much, though, because there was so much going on that I had to watch. We like to sit on the bench that's by the swimming pool and the playground area. I love watching all of the kids and big peoples play. I could sit and watch for hours. Seriously. (We don't have good views like this from our apartment.)
Of course Mom decided to take pictures when every went home. (Mom's so weird.) Just imagine peoples here:
I guard the area, of course. It's important to keep an eye on everyone. (Here's me with my beer, bully, and our neighbor's leg.)
Mom moved the beer for a "better picture." Whatever.
Things were going great on Sunday until Rosie stopped by. She's a big, big Boxer doggie who likes to eat little Shih Tzus. (Mom said she wouldn't eat me, but I don't believe that.) I had to hide under the bench where Mom was sitting.
I stayed under the bench even after Rosie left. I wasn't taking any chances getting eaten.
(On a side note, see how well Mom and our neighbor plan our trips to sit on this bench? They got water for Mom, Diet Coke for the neighbor, and a bowl of water for me! And yes, that red thing has poop bags in it...just in case, you know...)
I'm just glad that Rosie didn't steel my squeaky beer. I left it on the ground when I went to hide under the bench. The beer is hidden under Mom's bed now...just in case I get the urge to squeak in the middle of the night...

Snorkel Stick
I was snoozing the other day and minding my own business when Mom started to flip out. She thought something was growing out of my head. And then she thought maybe I was wearing a snorkel mask in the living room.
She disturbed my nap by getting closer and taking pictures.
Turns out that it was actually just one of my old, curly, bully sticks. I'd been sleeping with part of it in my mouth, and the rest just sorta wrapped itself around my head. (I "chewed" it into its current shape.)
And of course I gave Mom a sleepy stink-eye for disturbing my nap by pulling the bully stick out of my mouth. How RUDE. And the camera flashing didn't help matters, either.
She should really know better.

Advances in Training
Not long ago we ran out of my ducky cookies. We should NEVER run out of my ducky cookies!!! That's a rule around here.
I think, however, that my training of Mom is coming along nicely because THIS arrived in the mail:
See what Mom did? She bought FOUR bags of ducky cookies (and two bully sticks). I think she learned her lesson. (It's just a shame I had to give her the stink eye so much before she figured it out.)
Oh, yes...the training is coming along nicely...

Someday...
I am convinced that if I roll on my bully sticks enough, someday they'll actually squeak like my toys.
Seriously. These things have GOT to squeak.
Someday...

A Box Bigger Than Me...
About five years ago, I got this HUGE box from my friend Boris. OK...so maybe it wasn't that long ago...it was actually just a couple of weeks...but Mom's been neglecting my blogging duties so it feels like it was five years ago.
Anyway, Boris sent me a box that was a lot bigger than me! When Mom brought the box inside, I was so excited about it that I refused to eat supper. I wouldn't touch my food until after Mom opened that huge surprise!

Yes, I was a little impatient. I even jumped in the box before Mom got the top open all of the way!
But can you blame me?! Check out the HUGE Snoopy and Woodstock that Boris sent me!
I went right to work, playing with Woodstock.
And then I saw Mom take something else out of the box, so I had to check that out, too.
Yeah, my head sorta got in the way of that picture. Here's what Mom had, though:
Boris sent me some BUTTONS that say "I love Buttons!" Isn't that the coolest thing ever?!
But the box wasn't empty yet...there was another surprise in there. Here's me impatiently waiting for Mom to open my last surprise.
I had to check it all out before Mom assembled it.
Then I took a bully stick break while Mom went to work.
TA DAH! Boris sent me a BARN to go with my princess tent!!! It's a new secret hidey spot for me...and a stable for the princess to park her carriage in, of course.
I took a quick tour.
Mom put one of my blankies in the barn, too, to make it more comfy cosy.
Here's me posing with my new hidey spot!
I haven't played in the barn much yet, but Mom says that's because I go in my princess tent all of the time instead. So, she's gonna move my barn into the dining room so I have a hidey spot there, too. Sounds like a good plan to me!
So, after all of the excitement over my huge surprise, I had to take a nap on my new Snoopy.
Thanks to Boris and DogToys.com for my awesome, fantastic, super-duper surprise!

Playing with My Bully Sticks
This is a bully stick:
OK, so it's a little mangled up right now. It started out looking sorta like a dog bone, but I've been chewing on it. That's how it ended up looking so funny.
Anyway, I'm sure you know how much I love my doggie toys. I can make just about anything into a toy, too. For example, I've been rolling on my bully stick lately...
(Yeah, there's part of another bully stick in the picture, too...)
It doesn't squeak, but it's still fun to roll on! And after rolling on it for a while, I can chow down, too. Such a versatile toy!
And you know how I sleep with toys in my mouth? I can do that with my bully stick, too!
Last night, I made Mom play fetch with my bully stick. She didn't understand, but she still played. I've got her trained well.

My Pacifier
I was snoring away in bed the other day, as only I can snore. And if you've ever met me, then you know I'm a pretty good snorer. Even the vet thinks my snorty noises are quite impressive. But that's a whole other blog post...

So anyway, I was snoring away when Mom rudely woke me up. I looked up at her all sleepy, and she started taking pictures of me. Rude! She was snapping away with the camera because of my new pacifier. See it?
Yep. That's a bully stick. I chew it all up and cram the whole thing in my mouth. Or as much of it as I can get in there. And that's how I sleep...
...until Mom wakes me up to take pictures, that is. Then Mom took her rudeness to an entirely new level. She pulled the bully stick out of my mouth!
She thinks the chewed up, slobbery part is gross. And she doesn't seem to think I should be sleeping with all of that bully stick in my mouth. She's afraid I'm gonna choke or something silly like that.
But you know what I did? As soon as she pulled it out, I put it right back in!
I've been doing this a lot. It's fun to snooze with a bully stick pacifier. Tonight I even got MORE of it in there!
Mom distracted me with a toy puppy, though, and got me to give up the pacifier for a while...
Now I gotta go find it again. It's bed time, you know!
