Beautiful Weathers

Last weekend we had super nice weather, so Mom and I decided to go walk around the pond by our house.

I made sure to stop and sniff this pole on the way. See those dogs in that door? They barked and barked and barked! I took my time and showed them who's boss.

This is some of the last of the snow that's left around here. It's all been melting and melting.

The dog station seems to be missing something...the trash can! Hope the park people bring it back soon. That's important for poops.

Of course I found mud on our walk.

We got about a quarter of the way around the pond when I decided that I'd walked enough. I gave Mom this look.

Then we turned around and walked back home.

See this bench?  There was a nice family sitting there when we walked by the first time. You know what I did?  I pooped right by them. They laughed. Mom was not amused.

When we got back home I rolled and rolled.

That was a nice walk. Well, kinda.

Sniff-A-Thon

I told you Mom was slacking on my blog time, well this is a fine example of that negligence.

Mom found this post saved as a draft.  No text, just a lot of pictures...from over a month ago.  It was even already named "Sniff-A-Thon" and tagged with keywords.  She uploaded the photos.  Just never helped me write anything.

Geez.  What a slacker!!!

So I'm going into my "way back" machine to try to remember exactly what happened this day.  I'm pretty sure Mom and I went for a walk around the pond near our house.  And I'm pretty sure that I sniffed everything in sight, too.  (It's a talent.)

Mom remembers taking these next couple of pictures because she says it was the only time on the entire walk where I actually walked.  The rest of the time we slowly inched along as I sniffed everything in sight.

But of course I had to stop and sniff the end of the bridge.

And the ground right on the other side of the bridge...

Apparently all of that sniffing must have worn me out.  The next two pictures in our long-lost blog post draft are of me snoozing with a duck in my mouth.

I'm sure they'd have a better impact if we remembered why I was sleeping with the duck as a pacifier.  Oh, well.

I hope you've enjoyed this "long lost" post.

The End.

Checking Pee-Mail

You know why I love to go for walks around the pond near our house?  It's not the exercise...it's the PEE-MAIL.  There is SO much pee-mail over there...you just wouldn't believe it...

There was a lot of news to catch up on.

Here's a pic of the pond.  Mom took it to break of all of my sniffing pics.

Back to checking my pee-mail.

As you can see, there are a LOT of garbage and recycling cans around the pond.

Taking time to stop and sniff the flowers...

Another garbage can...

OK.  So I started to get tired.

Then gave Mom my best "what are YOU looking at?!" look.

Then I just sat down in the grass for a bit.

Caught my second wind and BACK to sniffing!

Mom thought this tree was pretty because its leaves are starting to change colors.

Then I took off like a rocket!

But that burst of energy was short-lived.  I went back to sitting in the shade.

And then I laid down.

After a quick rest, I eased myself back into checking my pee-mail...

And, finally, I gave the very first tree an extra couple of sniffs.

It can be exhausting to check all of that pee-mail.

It wore me out for the rest of the day.

Walking

The sun was shining today, and Mom didn't think it was too cold outside, so we went for a walk. And when I say "walk," I mean WALK. We walked around our pond! We haven't walked that far in months.

Mom says we both got too lazy (not me!) and we needed some good exercise. So off we went!

I was excited because we haven't gone towards the pond in forever, so there were all sorts of new smells for me to sniff!

I had a ton of unsniffed pee-mail to check out.

"Oh, we gotta go that way, too, so I can sniff that tree over there..."

More pee-mail.

There was a TON of "news" to check on the garbage can!

Yet another good sniff spot. (Mom ended up with lots of pictures of me sniffing...)

Mom says the blue garbage can is for recyclables and the green can is for poops.

Here's a scenic picture of my pond.

See how my ears are blown back in this pic and I'm giving Mom a look?

Well that's because Mom "thought" it wasn't cold out...but it WAS! I froze my hiney off. The wind was blowing strong, too. Here's what the weather actually was:

So when I saw our house starting to come into view, I RAN that way!

It was so nice to be inside where it was warm! Mom thought I'd be exhausted from our long walk, but I still had enough energy left to roll for a while on a squeaky.

But I've spent all evening snoozing on the couch.

It was great to get to go on a walk around the pond again! Maybe we should wait for it to warm up before we go again, though. The pee-mail was practically frozen!
