Anipal Photo Hunt #11: Trick or Treat!

The theme for this week's Anipal Photo Hunt is "Trick or Treat!" Unfortunately, I have plenty of material for this theme. I've got a few costumes. Yes, I said "a few."

Last year at my foster home I was dressed as a piggy for Halloween. It was appropriate since I make piggy noises all the time. And my foster sis Shawnee was dressed as the Big Bad Wolf, too, so that made the costume cooler. Here's a pic of us that I stole from Shawnee's blog:

Shawnee sent my piggy costume to my new home after I got adopted. So I could have been a piggy for Halloween. But Mom decided that maybe I needed something different.

I call this outfit "The Grapes of Wrath."

So I got a grape outfit, too. BUT that's not what I'm wearing for trick or treating tomorrow. See, my buddy Boris sent me a special costume in the mail and Mom decided that it's the winner for this year. So, this year for Halloween...I'm dressing as a princess! This costume is perfect with my princess tent! And it really is adorable, don't you think?

Yes, I rolled in it. Tried to pluck the hat like I pluck my squeaky toys, too. Mom said that wasn't allowed. Hrmph.

Happy Halloween!

Here are some other Trick or Treating animals:

My Neighbor, Part 3

I heard some squeakies on my walk tonight. They were coming from my neighbor's patio again. I nearly pulled Mom's arm off trying to get over there to find the source of the squeaks.

And you guessed it... I got ANOTHER new toy tonight from my awesome neighbor! I told Mom that we can never, ever move from our house because we'll never find another neighbor as cool as this one! She totally rocks!

Mom says that our neighbor is spoiling me rotten. I really don't see a problem with that!

My Neighbor, Part 2

On my walk tonight I heard a squeaky coming from my cool neighbor's patio. That's right...a squeaky! I flew over there as fast as I could go, and it turns out that she had another new toy for me! She really is the world's best neighbor, isn't she?! She gave me ANOTHER new toy!

I still can't eat her Milkbone cookies because of my tummy troubles, but tonight she had a baggy of my special prescription kibble cookies! I think Mom must have taken some over there. Anyway, I got lots of those treats from her tonight, too. I got so many kibble cookies that I didn't even need to eat any for supper when I got home!

I pulled Mom home again because I wanted to play with my new toy.

Took it into the privacy of my princess tent to play, but of course Mom once again annoyed me with her camera.

So I made a funny face at her. Take THAT!

Just Hanging Out

Some days I just feel like hanging out under my dog bed...with a toy, of course...

More New Toys for ME!

Baby Patches from NipAndBones.com had a happy hour a few weeks ago and gave away gift certificates to the store. Guess who won a gift certificate...that's right, ME!

I got a moose toy and a flappy toy. I love the moose toy 'cause it's stuffingless and that means I can squeak it easier. And I like to drag those stuffingless toys around, too. I played fetch with the moose for a while. Mom tried to take a pic, but I was just too speedy for her!

I played and played with that moose...until it was time for supper. Sorry, moose, but food is a priority.

The flappy toy is cool 'cause it's squeaky in the middle and has crinkly things on the ends. I took it into my princess tent to play with, but of course Mom had to bother me while I was playing in my hidey spot. The nerve of her!

I need to get a lock for my princess tent flaps.

Anyway, both toys have been super fun. Thanks, Baby Patches!

My Neighbor

I've got the best neighbor. Really, I do. She doesn't have a doggie of her own, but she buys Milkbones for all of the doggies in the neighborhood. Can you believe that? She EVEN gets them in different sizes so we can all eat 'em easier! So, every time we go for a walk, I make sure we stop by her house so I can get a treat.

I've been a bit upset with Mom lately, though, 'cause she won't let me have any Milkbones from our neighbor right now. Mom says I'm only supposed to eat my prescription food 'cause of my tummy troubles. Hrmph. BUT my neighbor had an even better surprise for me the other day. You know what she gave me instead of a Milkbone? A TOY!!! That's right...my cool neighbor gave me a new squeaky toy!

I dragged Mom home so that I could play with it in my princess tent. Mom thought it was funny to hear squeaks and snorts coming from my tent. And then I started rolling inside my tent, and it looked a little like a princess tent earthquake. (It's extra shaky 'cause Mom kept trying to not laugh.)

I went a little crazy outside of the tent, too...

Isn't my neighbor the best?!

Anipal Photo Hunt #10: How Annoying!

The theme for this week's Anipal Photo Hunt is "How Annoying!"

This was another easy one for me. I get annoyed by my Mom pretty easily, and I sure let her know about it, too! For example, I get annoyed when Mom...

1. Doesn't refill the popcorn bowl:

2. Bothers me when I'm picking out a toy to play with:

3. And invades the privacy of my hidey spot with her stupid camera:

Isn't that stuff terrible?! Mom can be so rude! Anyway, here are some other annoyed bloggers...

Getting More Food

I've discovered a wonderful way to get Mom to give me more food. First, act pathetic. Second, use the side of my food bowl as a pillow.

That's How I Roll

I roll on toys when I play. And I've discovered that I can scratch some of my itchies when I roll, too. The other day, though, I discovered a whole new way to roll and scratch.

I usually stretch my legs out and cross my back legs. Not this time, though! Gotta itch just the right spots, after all!

Mom was actually worried at first that maybe I was having a seizure or something 'cause I never roll like that. But then she realized that I was just scratching. That's when she started taking pictures...of course.

I did manage to roll like that and also make two complete circles in that same spot on the floor, though. I thought that was pretty impressive. (Mom didn't get both circles in these pictures, but you'll get the idea...)

Yep. It's definitely a talent.

Anipal Photo Hunt #9: Compromising Positions

The theme for this week's Anipal Photo Hunt is "Compromising Positions."

Now, keep in mind that I'm posting these pictures only for the sake of the Photo Hunt. And also remember that I'm entirely innocent of anything and everything.

Yep. I'm entirely innocent...

Anyway, here are some other anipals in their own compromising positions:

Catching Up...

Haven't posted very often lately, have I? Here's what's been going on: Mom's been busy. I've been sicky. Me being sicky makes Mom even busier.

I've had tummy problems since early August -- mainly diarrhea poos. Been to the vet lots. Lots of tests and stuff. This week the vet sent me to a different vet that did an ultrasound on my tummy. And my vet sent some of my bloods to a vet far away to see if my pancreas is o.k. My vet thinks I have "inflammatory bowel disease." We're still waiting on the pancreas test to come back, but they gave me some meds to help the diarrheas and we changed my kibble, too.

I had the pukes late last week, but now I'm better. (I actually pukied in my princess tent!) And the meds are helping the poos. I loooove my new kibble, so that makes Mom all happy. And I actually started playing with my toys some again. That made Mom even happier 'cause I haven't played much over the last week. Mom says she misses the sound of my squeakies.

So that's why I haven't posted much lately. I had lots of stuff that I was supposed to tell you about a week ago, but since I got extra sicky, I sorta forgot. I'm gonna catch you up now...

Mom took me to a big park 2 weeks ago. I was SO excited that I just took off. You can tell how excited I was if you look at my back legs -- neither of those paws is on the ground!

Then I spun around so fast I wrapped myself all up in my leash. And just look at those ears flying!

Had a blast at the park, and then Mom had another surprise for me...a trip to a doggie store!

Yes, I was wearing my leash in that pic...it just doesn't look like it. Anyway, you can guess what aisle I headed straight to. I had to check out the TOYS.

I tried to dive right into one of the toy bins, but Mom wouldn't let me. She DID, however, get me the little piggy toy that I was after in that bin! She's such a sucker for my "cute puppy" face!

So that was my trip to the park and the doggie store.

Another day, Mom took me over to visit her friend who has a BIG dog and also a kitty. I love kitties. I really love kitties. This kitty's name is Jingles. I just sat and looked at him.

The big dog who lives there scared me a bit, and so Mom's friend said that I could sit up on the bar in the kitchen to stay away from the big dog. And guess what...Jingles was on the bar!

So I sat and stared at Jingles on the bar for a long, long time. Jingles didn't even really mind me being up there with him. That was so much fun!

I've got a couple of other things to tell you about, but I think I'll do those in other posts 'cause this one is already so long!

Anipal Photo Hunt # 7: I'm with the Band

"I'm with the band" is the theme for this week's Anipal Photo Hunt. Yeah...I'm a little late posting this week. I've had some tummy problems, and Mom and I have both been sorta busy dealing with me being sick.

I've got a violin toy and we hunted for a picture of it, but couldn't find one. And then Mom tried to find the toy itself, but no luck there, either. So, since squeaky toys are "music to my ears," we figured that any toy picture might work.

Here's a picture of me with a new elephant toy that Mom gave me. I'm hiding between the fireplace, the M&M man, my princess tent, and Mom's exercise bike. Still not feeling well. I'm not even playing with the toy...just sleeping with it in my mouth...

Here are some others in this week's photo hunt...

Going for a Walk

When Mom got home from work tonight, she took me for a walk around the pond near our house. I love going over there. Hadn't been for a while, so I had lots of pee-mail to check!

Yep. Lots of pee-mail on the garbage can...

Some interesting pee-mail by the rocks.

The pee-mail by this tree was a little boring.

Some interesting pee-mail by the poop bag station, too.

Some things had changed since we'd been over there last. Mom was excited to see that the park district put in special garbage cans for recycling. Cool, huh? I gave it a good sniff, of course.

There were also two new gazebos at the pond and they had picnic tables in them. Mom mistakenly thought that one of the tables would be good for a photo opportunity. I refused to look at her.

Then I stuck my tongue out at her.

Eventually, though, I realized that I probably wasn't getting off of that table until I posed like a good girl. So I put up with it, sat down, and looked at the stupid camera.

That's my "take the picture and get me off of this stupid table!" expression. You can sort of tell I wasn't excited about Mom's "photo opportunity."

It was sure nice to get a chance to check all of that pond pee-mail, though!
