Hop, Hop, Hop

Each Saturday, there's a Pet Blog Hop. You add your blog to the list and then check out all the other animals' blogs that have been added. I think. I know you check out all the other blogs and I know you add your own blog. But I think I just figured out that you're supposed to put the list on your own blog, too. Maybe. Maybe I shoulda read the directions a little better last week... He he he.

Here's the blog list!

And now I've gotta go. I think Mom's making BACON in our kitchen! Ooohhhh! BACON!

Creative Dog Bed Usage

Tonight I decided to get creative with my big doggie bed.

I burrowed underneath the bed and played with a squeaky for a while. Sorta used the bed like a hat. The squeakies are amplified that way, too. That was fun.

Then I decided to see what Mom was up to across the room. (I heard her over there laughing at something...she claimed she was laughing at me 'cause I was playing under the bed...)

I thought she looked lonely over by the couch, so I tugged and pulled and finally moved the big doggie bed over there by her. That was a big job, too, 'cause that's a big bed.

Couldn't decide which side of the doggie bed to lay on, either, 'cause I'd just been playing underneath it. So, I napped half-under and half-on-top-of the doggie bed.

This is the view that Mom had to look at while she puttered on our computer.

I think I might leave my bed over there. Mom has trouble resisting my cuteness, and I get a whole lot of extra pets and scratches when I'm nearby...

The SpotBot Pet

Last month I entered a contest on Frugal Dougal's blog. The prize was a Bissell SpotBot Pet. All you needed to do to enter the contest was to comment on the post and say why you'd like to win it. So here's what I wrote for my entry...

I have doggie allergies
And thus a lot of snot.
I wipe it on the carpet,
And Mom gets all distraught!

I also love my squeakies...
Toys get slobbery, you know.
So there's slime on the carpet
And even more with each throw!

And let's not forget my habit
Of dumping over the trash.
The floor gets even more messy
With each garbage crash!

So the SpotBot could help Mom
as she tries to keep up with me.
I'm a very busy Buttons,
As Mom will sure agree!

Guess what...I won! That's right. I won the SpotBot Pet!

It came in the mail this week and Mom was really excited about it. This thing is bigger than I am! I gave it a really good sniff.

Mom was really excited about the SpotBot, but she didn't have anything to clean up. So, being the really nice and thoughtful doggie that I am, I decided to help her out. I puked on the living room carpet today while Mom was at work. She was very surprised when she came home!

I sort of posed by my masterpiece. Mom thought we should "censor" the picture, though, so we didn't get anyone else sicky from looking at it.

So tonight we got out the SpotBot and we put it to work! Here's an action shot of it working on that pukey spot.

I supervised the cleaning.

Ta dah! No more pukey spot on our carpet! (Just a little damp spot left...)

Mom says that the SpotBot cleaned the spot so well that we might have to SpotBot the entire living room now. That puke spot is so clean that it's making the rest of the carpet look dirty!

Anyway, Mom and I sure had fun tonight with our new SpotBot Pet. Thanks, Bissell!

Special Treats from Mom

Mom went to a local store today that has doggie toys and stuff. They make special doggie cookies, too. The store's called Bone Appetite.

It's not a special occasion, but Mom ended up bringing me home a bag of goodies. She said it was just 'cause she loves me. I thought that was corny, but it sure worked out well for me!

Mom took the pretty tissue paper out of the bag and I dove right in!

I found a squeaky chicken in that bag!

There were two little baggies of treats, too.

These are the cookies that were in the bag on the right:

That's a chocolate-covered strawberry cookie and a peanut butter lollipop. Know what the stick is for the lollipop? It's a rawhide. Very cool! Oh, and don't worry -- that's not real chocolate on the bottom of the strawberry cookie. Mom says it's carob, so it's safe for me.

Mom gave me some of the treats from the other bag and I chowed down on 'em.

Yummy! My favorites were these things called Donut Holes that had yummy frosting on 'em.

And now give me some more of those cookies, Mom. I saw the bag...I know we've got more...

Could You Vote for Me?

Remember when I entered my bath picture in Boris's bath picture contest? This is the one that I entered...

Well, now it's time for the voting on all of the pictures that the dogs and cats entered! Would you, could you, vote for me please? Pretty please? All you need to do is go to the contest page and click on "Busy Buttons" in the blue poll on the page. You don't need to sign up for anything or enter any info...just click on my name. You can vote once a day, I think, and the voting is over on Sunday.

Mom says that if I win, then I get this shower thingy that will make baths easier for me. I'm all about making it easier 'cause I really hate baths! But the problem is that right now I'm getting my tushy whipped in the voting.

So could you pretty please vote for me? Thanks so much!

Surprise Presents!

Have I told you that my buddy Boris is just the best kitty ever?! He knew about my story back when I was living in my foster home, and now sometimes he helps my new Mom spoil me rotten. (Mom says she's spoiling me extra to help make up for the bad stuff I had to go through.)

Anyway, guess what I got today...

"This box smells like my buddy Boris!"

Yep...it was a surprise present from Boris! Mom opened it, and I dove right in. (Boris always sends me totally cool stuff!)

In this package, Boris sent me TWO new squeaky toys! They're emoticon toys, like what you use online if you want to use a smiley face thingy. Anyway, one toy is an angel and the other one is a devil. Mom says that's totally appropriate for me and my personality. I'm sweet, but I'm sure ornery!

I took off with the toys before Mom could even take the tags off of them. We had a little disagreement about whether or not she was going to get to do that at all. I finally let her, though.

And I sure played and played!

The halo on the angel is fun to tug on. And the devil's horns are the perfect size for chewing. And of course they're both super squeaky!

Mom and I played fetch for a while, too.

That's when I realized that Boris sent me some COOKIES in the box, too! Mom opened a package while I was playing...and boy did they smell yummy.

I think those cookies are some of my favorites ever. I barked and barked at Mom 'cause I liked them so much. I ended up convincing her to give me an entire bag of them. Don't worry -- they're sample-size bags, so there were only four cookies in the bag. But Mom says that's still way too many for a doggie my size. Phooey. I love 'em!

I still wanted more cookies, so I gave Mom my cutest "give me more treats" face...

No luck. Seriously, how on earth could she resist this?!

Eventually, I had to give up. I did still have new toys to play with after all. I played so much, that I had to actually take a nap.

So super-duper big thanks to my buddy Boris for being so sweet to me. You're the best!

Another Prize

I won two prizes at the Blog Party. I got the goody bag from I Love Dogs, and I also won a calendar from Amazon Cares. Cool, huh?

So...that means I got more mail!

Mom was taking too many pictures when she should have been opening my mail. So, I was forced to bark at her.

The calendar was wrapped up in pretty green paper. Mom was STILL taking too many pictures, though, and not opening the paper, so I had to bark some more.

OK, so maybe I just got on a roll with the barking... Mom finally opened the calendar up, but I just kept barking at her. Yes, I'm ornery.

Thanks for the cool calendar, Amazon Cares!
